A unique state-of-the-art laboratory supports the design, development, and assessment of innovative educational interfaces. Research equipment and software are available for both low- and high-fidelity simulation studies of systems in the planning stages.
We also conduct research in Seattle-area schools, at tribal colleges, and other field settings. Our research receives Institutional Review Board clearance from the Western IRB in Olympia, Washington, and from participating school districts, universities, and tribal colleges.
We partner with students to design new interfaces in natural field settings that mimic their natural communication patterns and work practice.
